Export and send your email

Choose a file
Use ZIP to include uploaded images with the HTML. Use standalone HTML when images have public URLs. If your platform cannot import custom HTML, copy the text or download the text file and rebuild the layout in its editor.
Import into your platform
Check that your editor and plan support custom HTML. Mailchimp’s official import guide covers HTML and ZIP imports. Its ZIP limit is below 1 MB, with one HTML file and images at the ZIP root. Filenames must match the HTML references, including capitalization. This builder exports a flat ZIP; check its size before importing.
Complete the campaign
Add the subject and preview text in your platform’s campaign settings. Choose sender details and subscribed recipients, add your business address, and set a working unsubscribe link. Mailchimp custom templates require the *|UNSUB|* merge tag. Replace remaining placeholders and check every offer and link.
Send a test
Check images, links, personalization and layout in the inboxes your guests use, including a phone. This website’s preview does not verify inbox rendering or delivery. Use your platform’s testing tools before scheduling or sending the campaign.
